County Services Mobile – myOCgov, enables users to locate County services near them, or in a
specific city. MyOCgov features the use of geo-location, enabling the resident to find
services near them, browse all services, find contact
info, parking information, hours of operation and more.
Many residents are not aware
of the many services provided by the County of Orange. This application was created to give
greater visibility to County of Orange
services, and specifically services which are close to their location. Information on
available services are located on many different County of Orange websites, not easily
found by search and not mobile friendly or responsive.
Families can quickly locate the closest County Park. This application was developed targeting the following uses cases:
Real Estate agents can show clients the closest parks, libraries, and other services available to a location.
Job seekers can locate the closest one-stop center to search for jobs.
Entrepreneurs can easily get directions to file their fictitious name statements and file a DBA.
Health and Social services can be easily located by proximity to the user’s location.
This web application provides a more detailed and easier-to-read view of the Taxes and Special Assessments placed on the homeowner. Now the public has a simpler and easier way to look-up their Property Tax Bill based on their mobile device geolocation or search any address in the County of Orange region.
College Tuition/Fees Waiver (DVS-40) The College Tuition Fee Waiver for Veterans' Dependents waives mandatory system-wide tuition and fees at any State of California Community College, Campus of the University of California, or Campus of the California State University system. This program does not cover expenses like books, housing and parking. The student must meet the in-state residency requirements as determined by the school. Academic Year varies for each school and it is the responsibility of the student to verify the Academic Year for the college they are applying to.
This mobile app can be used to reference various IT classifications and view
the recommended skills that the
candidates should have. You can view
possible certifications that are applicable to the
position and title.
The app can also serve as a
guide to assess current employees and
to gauge whether their skills are up
to a suggested standard level.
This solution was created using “off the shelf” hardware and the kiosk software was built on open source software. Now meeting organizers simply add the kiosk email address to their meeting invitations and attendees can easily check in using the kiosk. Once a user has checked in the organizer is informed they are in the lobby.
This tool gives users new ways to interact with the County by building engaging voice and text-based conversational interfaces powered by AI. OC Animal Care wishes to make the process of finding an animal as easy as possible with this ad-free experience, which offers the same animal information that is available from our website. This information is updated every 30 minutes. This application has been downloaded over 15,000 times.
Both the mobile app and responsive web app allow customers to both complete a marriage
license application and to set an appointment for a civil marriage ceremony, all from the
convenience of their mobile devices.

for customers to complete their marriage license application and to set up an appointment
by offering a user-friendly interface and
allowing customers to complete their application before visiting any of our locations.
Customers can apply for a marriage license whenever and from wherever they want. All
customers need is a mobile device and a cellular or
Wi-Fi signal, this will allow customers to begin and complete the process from literally
anywhere in the world.
Before the development of OC Events, the County didn’t have a central events calendar. This Calendar is coordinated by the OCCR Events Coordinator and allows County Staff and the Public to view upcoming events in their area. This software also provides data to our myOCgov mobile application, the County of Orange Alexa Skill as well as to internal content management systems.
Before the creation of OC Connect, County Elected Officials and executive managers had to look up important contact phone numbers on a folded paper document. Now, they simply login to OC Connect, and quickly search and find for the person they are looking for. OC Connect enables the user to call or text directly from the application.
Allows OC Parks field staff to quickly geo-code inspection information with photos, documents and field notes. This responsive web application then enables the parks management team to create detailed reports on all inspections.
Now Park Rangers and staff can update the public in real-time on park closures and special conditions from any device. This application also feeds data to the OC Parks mobile application for real time updates.
When Veterans visited the Veterans Service Office of Orange County, they were required to visit the front desk, pick up a clip board, fill out the app and then take a seat until called. Now, with the implementation of the VSO Intake Kiosks, veterans can enter all the relevant information in an easy to use kiosk that only displays form fields when required. This makes the time filling out forms much quicker and moves the veteran quickly to meet with a case manager. Veterans can also use the County of Orange Alexa Skill to ask about current wait times.
This application completely replaced a manual process with open source software, and being responsive allowed content creators to build and send newsletters from mobile or desktop devices without having to reside on the County network. IT Staff would spend no less than 12 hours per week building newsletters for distribution by email, and now they are spending less than one hour per week. This should allow staff to spend more time serving our Shared Services customers, and greatly reduce newsletter costs.
This responsive web app allows first-responders and volunteers to locate safe shelter space for the homeless. Search filters include many categories, including women, youth and veterans.
The redesigned workflow allows case workers to view case history. It also features bulk and round-robin case assignment.
